Thank you to all our Chamber Singers who assisted with Crusher Crew during the week before school started!
Our students helped with the activities and performed at the closing rally on Friday, August 10th with a spirited rendition of the African hymn Wana Baraka. It was great spending time with our newest Chamber Singers and we look forward to a great year! It's been a long two weeks of auditions for Hairspray. I'm so proud of the courage so many of you showed in your auditions and amazed by the talent we have in our entire cast. It was so hard to make a decision, but this is going to be one of our best shows, ever. We are all so lucky to get to work together. We continue next week to finish learning the chorus parts before Winter Break, and move to the District Auditorium for full rehearsals when we come back in January.
Be on the lookout for the upcoming French breakdown that will tell you what scenes you are in and a schedule of rehearsals. Have a great week off! Hi Everyone!
I'm pleased to announce that we have a new way for me to stay in touch with students, families, and friends of the choir and to keep you updated on what is going on in our busy department. We are very busy preparing for our Fall 2011 Concert, which will be held Thursday October 27th. For information and/or ticket sales, call Jodi @ 707-299-2520. Our Chamber Singers will be participating in the Middle School Choral Festival hosted by The Music Connection on Tuesday, October 25th at the District Auditorium located at 2475 Jefferson Street, Napa, CA - in front of Napa High School. Here's a link to the Music Connection's website if you're interested in learning more about them: Music Connection The brand new Chorus performed this past Friday, October 14th, for the Dia de Los Muertos celebration at the Napa Valley Museum. They sang the haunting ballad La Llorona. Congratulations on your first successful concert, ladies! |
